Claudia's knowledge of the Holstein industry has come about as the result of extensive
on-the-job training and independent study. She worked for HFS, Inc. for ten years in
various capacities, concentrating primarily on elite genetics and the logistics required
for the shipment of animals and embryos internationally. She has developed extensive
databases for maintaining and sorting genetic data and tracking contract mating
of elite females made by international clients for bulls to AI and embryos.
Holsteins and Holstein breeding, while far from her home background and educational
roots in New York City, have become as familiar to her as the experience working as an
assistant to a judge in the probate court system and legal affairs. Claudia is very
knowledgeable about and experienced in the many processes involved in and the coordination
of shipping genetic information including health testing protocols, insurance and
documentation requirements.
